Create a highly motivated, performance-driven workforce.
Overview
The climate of your organization affects each individual who works within it and, therefore, the organization’s performance as a whole.
DoorTwo’s Organization Climate Assessment (OCA) assesses six key dimensions of a work environment. These six dimensions can either arouse motivation and sustain productivity — or derail both.
Through a two-part survey, our assessment asks responders to consider their current perception of the work environment and how their ideal environment might differ from that. When all responses are aggregated, we have a strong reflection of how the leader’s behaviors and practices are impacting the organization’s climate.
The OCA begins a dialogue that will empower both the leader and direct reports to influence the climate in a positive direction. After all, it is not only the leader whose behaviors and practices affect the work environment. Employees also share responsibility for creating a healthy and motivating place to work.
Thus, this assessment and it’s corresponding report is designed to facilitate mutual accountability for behaviors, practices, processes, and activities. The goal is that both the leader and the direct reports acquire the language and customs of an achievement-arousing (and productivity-sustaining) climate.
How to apply the Climate Assessment
You’ll provide below the names and email addresses of the persons who will participate in the OCA. To protect confidentiality, we require at least three (3) people. Each of these persons will receive a unique log-in to access and complete the assessment. Part I consists of fifty questions about their perception of what it’s like to work under their leader. In Part II, they respond to the same fifty questions regarding their preference for an ideal work environment.
Please note that DoorTwo takes the confidentiality of responses seriously; we never share individual responses. Rather, we generate a composite of all responses in order to protect the anonymity of the individuals who have responded. The OCA is a safe and reliable outlet for candid thoughts and frank opinions.
FAQs
What is Organization Climate?

What is the Organization Climate Assessment (OCA)?
The simple goal of an OCA is to answer the question, “What is it like to work in this place at this time and under this leader?” For example: Is the environment one that is motivating or de-motivating, achievement-driven or burned-out?
DoorTwo’s Organization Climate Assessment (OCA) assesses six key dimensions of a work environment. These six dimensions can either arouse motivation and sustain productivity — or derail both.
What’s the difference between Climate and Culture?
Organization Culture is your company’s identity. It’s the values and norms that have arisen organically over time. It’s the way a company makes decisions and how the people operate. Organization Climate is a subset of Culture, a smaller component within the organization that’s directly controlled or created by the leader and demonstrates what it’s like for people to get their jobs done within the culture.
Why does Organization Climate matter?
Climate is a critical focal point for leadership. It is the area where leaders have the greatest leverage to impact their organization’s performance. It is a guideline for leaders to measure their impact and success. The Climate of an organization affects each individual who works within it and, therefore, the organization’s performance as a whole.
Whose responsibility is the Climate of an Organization?
The OCA begins a dialogue that will empower both the leader and their direct reports to influence the Climate in a positive direction. After all, it is not only the leader whose behaviors and practices affect the work environment. Employees also share responsibility for creating a healthy and motivating environment. Your report will include action plans for each aspect of Climate. We encourage you to openly share the report with your team and to create a dialogue for a positive Climate.
How does the assessment work?
Once you’ve entered the names and email addresses of your team members, DoorTwo will send an email invitation to the assessment from lyra@DoorTwo.com (Subject Line: Leadership Assessment Invitation).
Through a two-part survey, the OCA asks responders to consider their perception of the current work environment (Part I) and how they imagine their preferred environment (Part II). When all responses are aggregated, we have a strong reflection of how the leader’s behaviors and practices are impacting the organization’s Climate.
How long does it take to complete the assessment?
We recommend allocating 20-30 minutes to complete the assessment.
How often should I process an OCA?
OCAs are time-relevant because the perception of the work environment is time-relevant. We recommend processing an OCA every 3-6 months to check how things are going within your team.
Are the responses confidential?
DoorTwo takes the confidentiality of responses seriously; we never share individual responses. Rather, we generate a composite of all responses in order to protect the anonymity of the individuals who have responded. The OCA is a safe and reliable outlet for candid thoughts and frank opinions.
